Digital Art Club

Overview:

Today’s digital painters utilize a powerful combination of software and hardware to design, color and render paintings of all subjects and styles. Come and explore and enhance your skills under the guidance of an instructor.

Students will need to have their own digital drawing tablet (eg. Wacom CTL400, Huion Inspiroy H640P) for this course.

Prerequisite:

Recommend prior experience working with 2D and/or 3D digital art tools to create games and/or animations including having taken any courses related to these areas.

Computer Requirements:

Students must have access to a computer as well as additional hardware and software. Some programs or courses may indicate additional technology requirements, and not all programs are Mac compatible.

• Windows PC or Mac computer
• Display with minimum resolution of 1024 x 768. While it is not mandatory, it is recommended to have a second monitor connected to the computer to extend the desktop. This allows the student to more easily follow what the instructor is demonstrating while concurrently being able to see the software environment that the student is working within.
• Broadband internet connection
• Headset with microphone
• Three-button mouse
• Internet browser (eg. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari)

*Note: There will be no clubs meetings April 4-9 due to Spring Break.
