Exploring Digital Game Design Club

Overview:

Come join your peers and explore how programming, game design, art production, and sound design are combined to create engaging video games.  You will discover high level what goes into making your favorite games, while also creating games that you will be able to share with your friends and family!

There will be no club November 27th, 2021.

You will learn:

• The video game production process
• Game design principles, including game balance
• Coding basics such as variables, conditionals, and iterations
• Game art and animation production processes and tools
• Implementation of sound effects and music

Prerequisite:

None

Computer Requirements:

Students must have access to a computer as well as additional hardware and software. Some programs or courses may indicate additional technology requirements, and not all programs are Mac compatible.

Windows PC or Mac computer

• Display with minimum resolution of 1024 x 768
• Broadband internet connection
• Headset with microphone
• Three-button mouse
• Internet browser (eg. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari)
