This workshop is for Junior Girl Scouts who want to take an idea for a 2D video game and make it a reality. This workshop examines basic programming techniques, but also looks at the other disciplines needed to create a game, including game design, art production, and sound design. Scouts will gain a new appreciation for the hard work that goes into making their favorite games and they will also understand the underlying academic knowledge needed to pursue a career in the game industry. Finally, Girl Scouts who complete this workshop will also earn the official "Junior Coding for Good Digital Game Design" badge!
