Overview:
This introductory course focuses on the branch of science that deals with living organisms and vital processes to sustain life. Topics of study include scientific skills, cellular processes, biochemistry, genetics, natural selection, ecology, human body systems.
Students completing this year-long online course will have a basic understanding of the following:
Students will complete some laboratory investigations to explore organic structures, the processes that regulate life functions, the effects of living and nonliving factors on biological systems, and how organisms have changed over time.
Mid-Winter Break will be February 21st-25th. Spring Break will be April 4th-8th. Classes will not occur during these breaks.

Students must have access to a computer as well as additional hardware and software.
