Overview:
This course focuses on teaching students to create original forms of creative writing, including poetry, short fiction, film, radio drama, plays, descriptive writing, and nonfiction writing. Students will learn a variety of techniques to take them from the earliest stages of invention to final publication, including literary elements like figurative language and imagery, character development, setting, word choice, and much more. In addition to working during the scheduled class time, students should expect to have some writing to complete outside of class.
Mid-Winter Break will be February 21st-25th. Spring Break will be April 4th-8th. Classes will not occur during these breaks.

Students must have access to a computer as well as additional hardware and software. Some programs or courses may indicate additional technology requirements, and not all programs are Mac compatible.
