Description

This Studio is ideal for students with prior experience programming apps or even video games that wish to enhance both their logic and coding skills. The Programming and Software Engineering Studio experience begins with the instructor assessing students' knowledge and skills and discussing their programming interests. For example, maybe your student wants to try programming in a different language or would like to understand how to use pointers. Perhaps they would like to know how to program a mobile app that tracks what they eat, or maybe they want to become more proficient with scripting a game engine like Unity. After assessing each student, the instructor will then develop an individualized learning plan that considers the type of programming outcome your student would like to focus on. Using an inquiry-based approach, the instructor will then facilitate a learning plan through various challenges that will reinforce computer science knowledge and programming skills.

Tuition includes:

  • Lunch and snacks
  • All course materials and supplies

Prerequisites:

  • Given the nature of the Studio format, basic programming knowledge and experience are required
