Description

This fun class will take young students around the world each class to a different country to explore its customs, culture, and art. Each Students will then be guided to produce a project based on a key technique used to create art in the featured country. 

You will learn:

  • Information about the art and culture of countries from around the world
  • Basic art analysis and appreciation strategies
  • Traditional fine art theory and skills

Prerequisites:

  • No prior knowledge or experience is required

This course includes:

  • All art supplies and tools needed for the course will be provided

Technical Requirements:

  • Windows PC or Mac computer
  • Display with minimum resolution of 1024 x 768.
  • Web camera
  • Headset with microphone
  • Three-button mouse
  • Broadband internet connection
  • Current, major internet browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari)

Orientation Session:

Please note that in order to ensure that students have their home computers set up correctly for the class, and to orientate students to learning in an online environment, there will be a 30-minute scheduled orientation session that will on the Saturday before the workshop is scheduled to start. Information about this will be sent to students by the instructor the week before the start of the workshop.
