Painting - JUNIOR

This course explores concepts and techniques for those looking to visually express themselves through painting. Using a variety of materials, you will cover key principles of two-dimensional art, color theory and mixing, as well as simple techniques for painting paint still life, landscapes, and portraits.

You will learn:

• The process and structure to creating a painting from start to finish, and from realistic to expressive
• The grammar of chroma, color and values and how to control them to create a palette to match what you are painting
• Range of brushstrokes and how they are affected by a given painting medium
• How to create depth and aerial perspective
