Description

Today’s console, VR, and mobile video games are highly complex pieces of software that run on amazingly powerful computer platforms. Creating hardware and software for today's gamers requires a deep understanding of computer science, computer engineering, advanced mathematics, and physics. During this four week program, you will get to experience what life is like for DigiPen college students who are working to complete their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

The Pre-College students in this track will take three (3) core academic classes plus the game project lab that involves all of the students from all of the Pre-College tracks to work together to complete a game:

  • CS: Applied Computer Science for Games
  • MAT: Applied Math for Games (with Lab)
  • PHY: Applied Physics for Games (with Lab)
  • GAM: Game Project Lab - Pre-College students in this track will be given a choice to focus their project work on either software (computer science) or hardware (computer engineering).

Tuition includes:

  • Lunch
  • Course materials

Prerequisite:

  • There is no requirement for you to have any prior computer science or electronics experience, however, applicants to the program are expected to have successfully completed Algebra 2.
  • Participants must be entering their Junior or Senior year of high school, or have graduated high school within the last 18 months.
