Description

DigiPen is pleased to offer a housing program for students participating in our 4-week PRE-COLLEGE PROGRAM. Here are the basic details:

  1. Age - Students wishing to utilize our pre-college housing option must be a minimum of 15 years of age as of the start of the pre-college program.
  2. Location - We will be using furnished townhomes approximately 1 mile away from our main campus at a complex called "Avignon," located at 15850 NE 98th Way, Redmond, WA 98052. This property is conveniently located about 20 minutes walking to DigiPen, and approximately 15 minutes to the Bella Botega Shopping Center which has major grocery store, a variety of restaurants, drug store, and even a movie theater.
  3. Dates - Pre-college housing check-in is on Sunday, July 5, 2020 and check-out is on Saturday, August 1, 2020.
  4. Housing Arrangements - There will be separate male and female units, with each unit having 3-4 bedrooms that will be assigned 2 students per room.
  5. Resident Assistant (RA) - Each unit will have its own Resident Assistant (RA) who will be staying in the unit. The RA will provide support to students as they adapt to experience of living in a group setting. The RA will also be going with the students on the weekend outings.
  6. Meals - This is still being finalized but at this point, students will be provided a continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During the week, all meals will be at DigiPen. On the weekends, continental breakfast items will be available in each unit, with lunch and dinner either being delivered or out at restaurants.
  7. Weekend Outings - There will be three scheduled Saturday outings. The specific itinerary is still being finalized but the plan is to take housing students to see some of Seattle's major tourist sites including the Space Needle, Seattle Aquarium, an Argosy Cruises Harbor Tour, Museum of Pop Culture, and Pacific Science Center. We  are also planning to take the housing students to the High Trek Ropes Course and LaserX Arena. Housing RA's will accompany students on the activities. Based on previous year's experience, we will leave Sunday's open for students to relax or make their own arrangements.
  8. Transportation - On Monday to Friday, we will arrange to shuttle students to and from DigiPen's main campus. For the Saturday activities, transportation will also be provided.

Prerequisites:

  1. Resident must be registered as student in a pre-college program track.
  2. Resident must provide an up to date current immunization record to attend camp.
